Visit Torino di Sangro is a project of the Municipality and the local community to give the town, the coast and its places an authentic, accessible and lasting digital voice.
We believe that slow tourism is the only honest way
to inhabit a place like this. We don't want to fill beaches:
we want to tell the story of a town to those who know how to listen.
From a legend
to a digital vision.
Torino di Sangro was not always called this way. It was simply called "Torino", and earlier "Civita del Sangro". Legend has it that the inhabitants, fleeing the Saracens in the Middle Ages, were guided by a bull to the place where the town now stands. From that suggestion, centuries later, our logo was also born.
In 1862, after the unification of Italy, the town added "di Sangro" to distinguish itself from the better-known Turin in Piedmont. Today this borderland — between hills and sea, between central and southern Italy — is looking for its own way to be known. Without imitating anyone.
Visit Torino di Sangro was launched in 2026 as a joint initiative of the Municipality, the Pro Loco and the local tourism operators. It is the first step of a digital strategy focused on authenticity, content quality and a modern user experience.

Three concrete, measurable, sustainable goals over time. No empty promises: just slow, daily work.
Map every corner
Catalogue and tell the story of every point of interest in the territory: churches, monuments, beaches, paths, accommodations, restaurants. A living map, curated and continuously updated by the editorial team and town operators.
Engage the community
Tourist operators, artisans, restaurateurs, associations: everyone can contribute with their own story. The site does not belong to the Municipality: it belongs to those who live and work here.
